Town of McBee Adopts Curfew

The Town of McBee strives to protect the health and interests of our citizens and employees. In response to the COVID-19 virus, The Town of McBee has adopted a curfew that will begin Saturday March 28, 2020. The curfew will be from 10:00 pm until 6:00 am and will remain in effect until further notice.

The curfew does not apply to travel to and from work, medical providers, pharmacies, grocery stores, similar locations, or any other essential businesses as may be designated by the Governor of South Carolina or the Department of Homeland Security, nor is the curfew an order that any business, industry, etc. to close during the curfew hours.



Town of McBee Announces Modified Changes Until Further Notice

The Town of McBee announces the following changes until further notice due to the Covid-19 Pandemic:

The regulary monthly town council meeting and Budget workshop for April 7, 2020 has been cancelled.  

Town Hall Offices will be closed until further notice.  Payments can still be made online ( or the drop box located at Town Hall.

From Chesterfield County:
A curfew has been instituted from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., effective tonight, in the UNINCORPORATED AREAS of Chesterfield County until further notice. The curfew does not apply to travel to/from work, medical providers, pharmacies or similar locations; nor is the curfew an order that any business, industry, etc., close during the curfew hours.

Town of McBee Announces Modified Operations through March 31, 2020

In the interest of public safety and to help decrease the spread of Covid-19 (Coronavirus), the Town of McBee will be moving to modified operations effective March 18 – 31, 2020. We will reevaluate these changes as more information is available. A detailed outline of modifications will be listed below and also our website.

Considering recommendations made by the CDC and SC DHEC, access to the Town’s Public Facilities will be restricted and closed to the public. The Town of McBee will make the following modifications for business operations:

Town Hall

> Town Hall will be closed to the public.


Water Bills may be paid:
> Over the Phone: 843.335.8474
> By drop box located in the alcove at Town Hall, 38 W. Juniper Ave, checks or money order only.
> By Mail: P.O. Drawer 248, McBee, SC 29101, checks or money order only.
> Any additional business with the Town Hall may be taken care of by calling 843.335.8474 or emailing


> Business licenses may be obtained by completing an application – you may download the application from the Town’s website

And call the Town Clerk to complete payment processing at 843.335.8474


Maintenance Department
> Garbage collection will remain on schedule.
> Yard debris will remain on schedule.
> Utility calls/work will not be affected.


McBee Police Department
> The Police Department lobby will be closed to the public.
> Non-emergency calls and police reports will be completed over the phone by calling 843.335.8474 to minimize contact.

Parks and Recreation Department
> All scheduled practices have been cancelled.

> Recreation Complex will be open for passive recreation such as walking or jogging.

Municipal Court
> All municipal court will be postponed for the month of April.

> Traffic tickets may be paid online at
